The Girls with No Names

Rating: 4.5/5

Favourite Quote:

“But life’s a blind business, none of us can see up ahead, and none of us would move forward if we could. So,”

Thoughts: A tragically realistic telling of how society treated different groups during this time. A multilayered story that really got me attached to all of the characters because of their flaws. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You'll love if: focus on multi-generational relationships between women and what is expected of them in society, you want to learn more of the suffrage time period and the House of Mercy which a notorious asylum for "destitute and fallen women" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Pass if: you like more deeply rooted context as it heavy in dialogue
